Windows-7-Phone-SeriesJust four months after Windows Mobile 6.5 hit the market, Microsoft has officially introduced Windows Phone 7 Series, the new multitouch-capable mobile operating system designed to defeat Apple’s iPhone.

We were all looking at the iPad and suddenly, Microsoft comes with this new, impressive, and I would dare to say “original” take on the mobile phones with a whole new OS. Yes, you read it well, I, the guy coming from Apple’s EvangeList, am saying Microsoft has done something “new” and “original”… How’s that? Read on to find out.

Apple tablets running iPhone OS 3.2 spotted by Flurry Analytics

iSlate Apple Tablet Demo Jan 26 2010It is just a matter of hours now to know the truth on iPad or iSlate devices, whatever the name will be… and I’ll be here updating you for sure.

In the meantime, Peter Farago, VP of of Marketing at Flurry, noted that his company believes the devices running iPhone OS 3.2 are Apple tablets because the hardware, when asked via software, did not identify itself as an iPhone. He also said that some devices testing iPhone OS 4.0 have been spotted — but they leave the Cupertino campus, while those running iPhone OS 3.2 do not.

“If you were able to see the data we see, at the level of granularity,” Farago said, “it would be clear to you as well.”

Apple to unveil the “iSlate” Tablet on January 26 asked developers to get their iPhone Apps ready

iSlate Apple Tablet Demo Jan 26 2010Apple has scheduled a media event at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco on Tuesday Jan. 26, 2010, for a major product announcement. “Apple is preparing an announcement next month that many anticipate will be the official unveiling of its tablet, but the company has so far declined to confirm the existence of the device,” the Financial Times reported. “Wall Street analysts expect mass production of an Apple tablet to begin as early as February.”

The most likely name is “iSlate”, a trademark currently owned by a possible shell company set up by Apple to quietly obtain U.S. trademark protection for the name.

“Apple is preparing to show off a new, larger mobile device with a higher resolution display in January — probably a version of the Apple tablet we’ve been hearing about for months — according to a plugged-in source in the mobile industry,” Silicon Alley Insider reported Wednesday…
