Project Details

MTM pharmacy is an interactive touch screen interfaced kiosk concept intended to improve the relation between pharmacists and customers while they shop in their local pharmacy or drugstore. Surgeworks helped to develop the proof-of-concept prototype that will be evaluated and improved further before being installed in any actual pharmacies.

The interactive kiosk was developed focusing on usability and simplicity of interaction. Customers were able to receive counseling information about the medication they were about to buy, from its purpose, proper dosage to its potential side effects, etc, both by text and voice.

The project also included an admin interface which would allow the management of the products specifications, audio and textual counseling, ADs, etc; Which would be retrieved through the internet by the kiosks installed on the pharmacies throughout the country. Its business model also included advertisement as a source of revenues, which are displayed while no client is receiving prescriptions.
