Custom Order Management System
Project Details
Surgeworks developed a custom ordering system for Uinta Golf. The system provides retail sales people the ability to navigate, with a customer through thousands of possible combinations of equipment from various manufacturers. The purpose is to help create the perfect set of custom golf clubs for that customer. The application uses a wizard-style order process and keeps a running total of the cost of the selected options as it goes. The wizard includes pictures of the equipment to make the experience smooth and make it easy for everyone to visualize the end product.
And this is just where this application gets started. Upon selecting the perfect set of custom clubs, the system manages the communications between the sales order clerk and the manufacturer(s) while keeping the customer notified of status changes in their order. When the order is shipped by the manufacturer the system tracks the order from the manufacturer to the warehouse and ultimately to the store.
This system reconciles to the point of sale system and produces numerous operational and inventory reports to support the custom order management process.
This system has been in use for two years with no ongoing maintenance requirement.
